Get into Genes A great interactive, hands-on program for secondary students that highlights the application of biotechnology to crop improvement. It gives students an insight into the relationship between molecular biology, genetics and plant breeding
Scitable Learning tool by Nature Publishing Group that concentrates on genetics, evolution and variation. Designed for undergraduates, but will be great for Year 12 Biology students and teachers.
The Royal Institution of Australia (RiAus) RiAus brings the findings of science to society and fosters informed debate on the issues raised by emerging science and technologies. Their web site has loads of good information, and links to debates, events, key science people and public engagement act
University of Melbourne School of Botany The school offers a range of events and activities for teachers and students designed to support the teaching and learning of plant science in schools. And the cool thing is that most of their activities are free.
